February Lakemont Charity DRIVE

Sneakers, Coats, Jackets and clothes drive.

Come on Feb 1st or 2nd to Jeff and Kelly Butterworth’s home on 16813 SE 56th Place in Chander Park between 12:00pm and 4pm on Saturday, Feb 1st and Sunday, Feb 2nd up to 4:00 pm.

Charity starts at home, and Lakemont is a tight community connected to its neighbors. We are kicking off our first charity events. We are combining 3 clothing and shoe drive in one event and would love to get your help and contribution.

  1. SNEAKERS:

Do you have used or unwanted sneakers? In the United States, at least 200 million pairs of sneakers end up in landfills each year. Let’s keep those sneakers out of landfills! Saturday 2/1/2025 and Sunday, 2/2/2025 areLakemont Sneaker, Coat and Jacket Donation/Recycling Weekend. Please drop off your used and unwanted sneakers by the front door of 16813 SE 56th Place in Chander Parkbetween 8am and 4pmon 1/25 and 1/26.  Gather your used sneakers so they can get a 2nd life or be recycled!

2. COATS and JACKETS:

The Puget Sound region is in need of coats and jackets during these cold winter months. Help our neighbors and donate a coat or jacket you no longer need. Coats and jackets can also be dropped off by the front door of 16813 SE 56th Place in Chander Parkbetween 8am and 4pm on Saturday, Feb 1st and Sunday, Feb 2nd.

3. CLOTHING for WOMEN, KIDS, YOUNG ADULTS

Sophia Way, a homeless-women and homeless family charity, is grateful to receive clothing for women, chilldren, young adults. We partnered with Sophia way to receive your clothes - happy to receive anything in good shape.

Christmas with Lakemont Families and Kids

Lakemont is delighted to celebrate the holidays with a family-friendly Christmas party at Karen Corbitt’s home.

WHEN: Friday, Dec 13 (our lucky day)!

6:00 people arrive - We provide Costco Pizza and Wassle (please RSVP) and folks bring sides

6:30 movie, Home Alone,  and crafts for the kids Teenagers are welcome. We will have a large variety of very fun arts and crafts.

7:30 or when we finish, adults (and any kids that want) decorate cookies

8:30 Santa arrives.

What we need you to bring: An entree - something to eat.

Drink and Treat Halloween event

LCG Event: Halloween Drink & Treat Walk - Be Part of the Halloween Fun!

When: Thursday, 5:30 pm, Halloween Night, meet at Iwona's home: 5545 173rd Ave SE. Costumes are optional.

Celebrate Halloween with a twist! The Lakemont Community Group (LCG) is hosting a "Drink & Treat" walk where neighbors can enjoy drinks while the kids trick-or-treat. It’s a perfect way to meet neighbors and bring the community together!

How It Works:

  • Bring your own glass for a drink!

  • Arrive at 5:30pm to the address 5545 173rd Ave SE Bellevue

  • Meet neighbors, enjoy treats, and build a community.

  • We will stop at participating houses for a soft drink, wine, beer or whatever that host offers!

  • Kids, pets, and families are welcome!

Lakemont End of Summer Potluck

Let’s enjoy our end of summer weather with a cultural potluck full of kids games and activities. Meet and greet neighbors, families, enjoy each other’s company and play games:

Pickle ball, Bocce ball, chocolate fountain, smores by the fire, bubbles and many more. We will raffle a few great prizes - from our local businesses. VR games for teenagers. Celebrate the 4th of July with all of us. We’ll kick it off with a short flag ceremony, then Potluck:  Bring your own meat for BBQ, and side dish (salad, chips, dessert). Kid-friendly drinks only please. Activities for adults and kids include:

  • Badminton, water balloon volleyball!

  • A treehouse slide, a trampoline, swings!
